Place: Publika (KL)

Not sure about you all but whenever I hear Publika, I think of a mall with only restaurants with mountain and trees surrounding it. I sound damn kampung right? haha. Last friday was my first time to Publika. I thought that it would take me about 40minutes to reach there but with the help of NKVE Highway, I manage to reach there and grab a parking in 20minutes? I wasn't speeding okay. Somehow there wasn't any traffic lah :D Lucky me!

So to those like me before who don't know about Publika,
this post shall be your 'mini guide to Publika' :D

This is based on how I view it okay :D
Do comment on what I missed out on!

So it was last Friday that a bunch of us went to Mad About Coco. We went right after our lunch at Journal by Plan B. It was right behind of Journal by Plan B which made it easy to locate.

It's right above Mee Jawa.
So if you really can't find Journal by Plan B, ask around where Mee Jawa is at :D

Went to Publika yesterday, can you believe that it was my first time going there? I shall leave my trip to Publika as a separate blog post because there is just too much stuff to write about. Anyways back to the main post which is Journal by Plan B :D

Main Entrance

This is my second time to Plan B. The first time was at Paradigm with Amelia during my 21st birthday :) Was so blessed when she brought me there :) Anyways this outlet at Publika is Journal by Plan B is exactly like Plan B restaurant. Their menu is the same, maybe the deco of the restaurant was a little different. It was a little more artsy and hipster like.

Food: Kitchen Creatures (Centrepoint, Bandar Utama)

Looking for a place to chill with your friends around Bandar Utama?

My friend and I went to this restaurant because she says it's one of her favorite place to have affordable western cuisine. It was honestly not bad, they served both Western and Asian cuisine . Had to wait for the food to arrive for a little while due to the lunch craze hour. But besides that, it was an enjoyable time to just hang and dine there. It's pack with KDU students and working individuals. The place is decorated with Ikea lanterns which made it look like a blast from chinatown mixed with some modern trends

I took a few pictures from the place.
Check it out :)

Last week, XIXILI had their Autumn & Winter 2013 Fashion Show at Parkson Pavilion KL. They had a special themed for the fashion show which was 'An Epic Tale of Snow Queen'. It was a private event for VVIP and media. There were other passerby shoppers that came by to view the fashion show.

The fashion show presented 7 models styled in characters from their themed, 'Epic Tale of Snow Queen'. The characters ranged the Snow Queen, Greda, a little girl name Kaily (Edited from the original story version of the boy named 'Kai'), Princess, Troll, Raven, Tree and Reindeer.

It was my first fashion show where a story was told and follow up as a plot for an entire fashion show.
Their Make Up and Hair Do were AMAZING!

Saw Karena on one of their dresses and I thought OMG it's perfect for prom. Too bad it was sold out before I could get it. So I scroll down their other stuff and found heaven! They had beautiful dresses and they were in my size! :D I am a UK 12 (Size L), its harder to get gorgeous dresses with my size online.

It was a Tuesday night, I just finished one paper in the morning and nothing could break me away from attending the party of the YEAR.

Launch party to be exact
It was everything I was looking forward to for weeks.

GUESS teamed up with America Next Top Model (ANTM) Cycle 20 and had a fashion show at The Butter Factory. It just crazy how one day I received this invite from Paige. Oh bless her heart! I have just finish watching cycle 20 and I am A HUGE FAN OF CORY and NINA. If you have not watch CYCLE 20 yet, what cha waiting for? Cycle 20 included both female & MALE models! It was also the most dramatic cycle yet. Lots of dare daring fashion shows, love relationships and diva moments.

So just imagine my excitement when I heard the TOP 5 of ANTM Cycle 20 would be there.
Cory was one of them :D
Chris H, Renee, Marvin (Runner Up), Jourdan (Winner) & Cory

Event: KARE Store Opening Launch (The Gardens)

Always wanted to decorate your house like the celebrities?
Want your place to decorated with the latest designs?
Want to decorate your place with items that would show out your personality?

There has been so many new international clothing line that made it's way to Malaysia. Even renowned furniture store too set it's path to Malaysia. KARE Design (pronounced as ka-ray) is an international furniture store that is located in over 40 countries world wide with 155 store outlets. A leading furniture trendsetter, KARE was established in 1981 at Germany.

On the 4th of December, KARE had their store opening in The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur. They have a total of over 1,300 bold furniture displayed in their Kuala Lumpur showroom.

I was one of the few lucky bloggers that got a chance to witness their grand launch with the other guests, celebrities, VIPS and media. I have never attended a funiture store launching before, and gosh, KARE set the standard and was above what I had expected for the launch to be.

KARE Designs from what I could tell as I first walked into the store is about showing your inner personality. Being able to express yourselves thru the things around you. They had a LOT of quirky, luxurious and unique items that I could imagine some of the celebrities to own. Some of their stuff there reminded me of what G-Dragon actually have in his house (here, here, here)

Food: Acme Bar & Coffee (KL)

It's been raining quite a lot this week. I am not sure about you but at times like this I just want something sweet and tasty in my belly. haha. I sound like such a pig now.

Ever heard of Sizzling Brownies?!

I first stumble upon it when I saw Jane Chuck's instagram picture of her Sizzling Brownie and I knew I just had to have it. Sound like a kid right? Well it wasn't just me who saw the picture la, a few of us from uni decided to go for some brownie hunting. So off we went. FYI this was a months back. Haven't been going anywhere lately except lying at home with my books and trying out buffet places at night. But that is for another post in the future :D

So where can you get sizzling brownies?

Acme Bar & Coffee

Don't let the name of the restaurant fool you. It wasn't like the typical bar you see on the movies. The place was like a coffee joint mix with modern glass surroundings. My description sounds where right? Anyways scroll down/continue reading for a better judgement of the place la :)

Event: G-Shock 30th Anniversary - Shock The World 2013

This is a super overdue post. Like seriously overdue! haha. Anyways 3 months ago, I was lucky enough to have won myself a pair of invitation to G-Shock 30th Anniversary. It is all thanks to An Honest Mistake. I bet you all know they are my favourite local band now right? haha. Rhys was my teman of the event. I just cut my hair the day before the event. So it looks a little awkward in all of the pictures here. My fringe was just too short D:

Us at the scene
my hair D:

We arrived a little too early at the venue. I didn't expect KL to NOT have any traffic jam, so we reached around 6.30pm? It was super early. The event doors only open at 7.15pm! There is a total of 140 pictures below. Click on the picture to view all of them la. You can skip through my boring explanation. haha

It's been raining for the entire day now. I don't know about you but I hate the rain. Moments like this makes me so lazy to do anything productive. Even thinking about where to eat next is too difficult for me at times when the wind and rain is calling me to sleep instead. haha. So instead of you guys thinking what to eat tonight, let me help you.

There is a new Burger/Western joint @ SS19

Sao Paulo Christmas Decorations

Tis the season to be jolly, falalalalalala~!

So how have you all been? It's finally DECEMBER. 24 more days until Christmas! Have you started buying presents? Presents. Presents. Presents. This year it's just so hard to think of gift ideas for others. Wish money would just fall down from heaven for me now D:

Anyways, did you all know that Christmas decos are up at various shopping malls? :) This ought to be my favourite part of the season lo. Seeing everywhere all decorated up with trees and lights. Oh the joy of the season. Somehow the lights helps to make everything looks so magical and festive. Of course nothing could beat snow. Oh how I would give anything to be at Singapore during Christmas. I heard they would have fake snow along Orchard street during Christmas? How cool is that wei!? :D

Anyways, as cool as fake snow might be, but I ain't gonna be traveling all the way to another country just so I can see their Christmas decorations. Malaysia's shopping mall too have as good decorations as anywhere else in the world. That is my opinion, you are free and welcome to disagree :)

A  few years back, I remember Curve also had fake snow during their Christmas week, along the bazaar street. I wonder if they have some again this year? Anyways, I manage to view Sunway Pyramid and Empire Mall's Christmas decorations. They are just amazing and whoever design the Christmas layout of the mall should get a cookie. haha.

Thinking of spending some time with your love ones?
Want to take some Christmas pictures together?
