Event: Charity Steamboat For The Kiwanis Club (Yezi 椰子 @ The Roof, BU)
I was just talking to a friend recently on how blessed we are to be where we are. We weren't rich nor are we poor but even just waking up the next day alive is already a blessing. Ever wonder if there is more to life than just living? I'm really blessed and amazed to have a lot of friends actively volunteering their time for community works. One of my friend told me about her outing where she brought an orphan to the Zoo and the kid couldn't stop thanking her. Things like this really breaks my heart, I wish I could volunteer too but because of time, it restricts me. What I can do is to support communities by donating money or items they need.

Last month on Parents Day, I was honored to attend an event collaboration of Yezi (The Roof new restaurant addition) and The Kiwanis Club of Pantai KL for fund raising. I believe that, we should help one another, especially those in need. I know of some people who thinks that donating money to others is a lost for themselves because they don't gain anything.

Well if you're one of those people (I'm not judging btw) but Yezi's charity drive will be donating all their sale proceeds of any purchase fresh handmade balls or dumplings from 26th July until 22nd August 2015. The items are black truffle balls, imperial seafood dumpling, coconut with birds nest and alaska crab. You can also reserved tables at Yezi on the 18th August 2015 for RM105 per pax. You would get to enjoy your meal while knowing that you did make a contribution to help who are less fortunate.

Kiwanis is located in 80 nations to help their enrich communities. Each community's needs are different so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members in the club achieve what one perso can't accomplish alone. Their vision is to provide underprivileged children a chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive for greater things to happen.

At the event, underprivileged elderly and children brought by The Kiwanis Club of Pantai KL were treated to Yezi's specialty steamboat dishes. During the meal, there was a beautiful performance by special youth from The Kiwanis Club of Kluang Mandarin Day Care Center. They danced with grace and there wasn't a single person in the room who wasn't amazed with the performance.

Yezi is one of a kind premium Chinese steamboat restaurant that interestingly has coconut in their broth. They put a great emphasis on healthy eating (with no MSG) and proudly serves a wide array of fresh from the farm dishes to their customers.

This charity drive aims to raise at least RM10,000 for The Kiwanis Club of Pantai KL. The money would be used to help support their charity activities, which includes Tutoring Programs for the underprivileged children, Global Project to eliminate Maternal Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) and other community services.

This charity campaign already started and will be ending in 10 days time. Do go and show your support in helping to raise funds for this campaign. The cheque presentation to Kiwanis Club of Pantai KL will be happening on 23rd of August 2015. To make reservations at Yezi, do call at 03-77261588.
