CNY Menu At China Treasures, Sime Darby Convention Centre KL
It's only November and I already got a chance to attend an early CNY food review. Definitely one of the earliest CNY food review ever! China Treasure at Sime Darby Convention Centre is one of the few Chinese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that is halal certified and the food there is also absolutely amazing. Definitely their dim sum are to die for and for their Chinese New Year (CNY) Menu, you can expect flavorful dishes served with the uttermost skill and quality.

Even though, CNY is still 3 months away, you start booking tables for your reunion dinners or even company cny celebrations. Plus, the great news is, currently they have an amazing promotion which helps to save for early bird purchases from 1st November 2015 - 31 December 2015. The prices are at RM 588 nett (a table of 6 pax) & RM 798 nett (a table of 10 pax) in November 2015 and RM 688 net (a table of 6 pax) and RM 898 nett (a table of 10 pax) in December 2015, compared to the original pricing of RM 1118 nett (a table of 10 pax). The vouchers can be purchase now and use from 1 January 2016 - 29 Feb 2016.

There is 9-course in total of this menu. We started our food review with the must have Golden Sea Whelk "Yee Sang". Love how chewy the Whelk was, it's a sea snail btw.

Next up was a calming aromatic hot soup of Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Dried Scallop and Mushroom. The soup is very light and tasty which I believe most elders would love it. Also each bowl had a serving of scallop.

Roasted Crispy Chicken Infused with Five Spices and Garlic was the third dish. Love how crispy the marinated chicken skin was and the meat was tender.

For the fourth dish was the Steamed River High Fin Patin Fish with Ginger and Chilli Sauce. First time trying Patin fish and it was freshly served. Really love how the ginger and chili complement the fish.

The fifth dish was the Pan-Fried Tiger Prawns With Special Honey Marmite Sauce. The prawns was big, fresh and plum! Love the sweet taste to each bite.

The sixth dish was the Braised Stuffed Beancurd Roll and Black Mushroom with Seasonal Vegetable. Pretty much a standard vegetable dish. The mushrooms were soft and the sauce wasn't too starchy. Kailan was the vegetable served.

At the seventh dish and am already at my limit. haha. But as always somehow, rice is only served now. The Claypot Rice with Diced Chicken & Yam was rather interesting, it was my first time having yam in my rice. Would have loved if there was maybe some diced mushrooms though.

And finally finishing up the CNY set menu with Sweetened Kiwi with Sago and Deep Fried Chinese New Year dumpling.

The fried dumpling was a crowd favourite. Even though we were already at our limit, not one piece was left behind. It was sweet and crispy with yam mixture inside.

This meal cost RM 1188 nett for 10 pax, but if you book now, it will only be starting from RM 588 nett (view above for more information).

Aside from the menu above, there will be a special 9-course menu prepared in conjunction with the traditional reunion dinner on 7th & 8th of February 2016, which is the eve and first day of CNY. This special menu set will be available at RM 2080 nett (per table of 10) as compared to the original pricing of RM 3088. Also, this set will include a complimentary RM 100 voucher for the next visit, free flow Chrysanthemum tea, tidbits and special gift.
