Christmas is coming soon and aside from the presents, food is something I look forward to during the festive holidays. Up and above to the rooftop is where excitement is found. I blogged about this restaurant before (HERE) and coming back just reminds me of the wonderful experience I had before.


Can't believe that it is already December and it's time for the Christmas dishes. Sky 360 offers western dishes and either an a la carte or buffet option. I love the environment of the place where you can view the counter table bar with the backdrop of wine bottles. Definitely a wonderful place to celebrate special moments with love ones.


I was back for the launch of their Christmas Menu which is already available until 30th December 2015 at RM 145.00 nett per pax. We were welcome with a glass a complimentary mocktail drink. This ought to be the prettiest mocktail I have ever seen, as it's bright in pink with a cherry on top. There wasn't a name for the drink but it was a mixture of pink guava and pineapple juice.


Our appetizer crusted tuna loin with mesclun green, orange dressing caught me in awe. I literally just stared at it for a good long minute. It was interesting to see the dish mixed with jelly (decoration sake). The tuna was really good with the sweet orange yogurt dressing.


There was two choices for the soup, either the chicken royale consomme or the lobster bisque. Both of with which is served with garlic bread. My favourite was the lobster bisque as it was thick and flavourful, the chicken royale consomme on the other hand was a bit plain for me. Feel like the chicken soup would be a favourite to the older crowd like above 50s.


Next up was our palate cleanser, beetroot raspberry granita. It was a refreshing served that was light in taste. The glass is decorated with sugar, just in case some of you might be thinking it's salt. Usually palate cleanser doesn't have much decoration on it, so I guess the sugar was their way of decorating.


Now for the part I've been waiting for all night, the main dish! There are three selections (beef, fish and chicken) in the main dishes which all have vegetables and their own unique sauces. As this is fine dining, do know that the portions are smaller than usual. Also, I found it interesting that all of the dishes served that night, did not have a proper name. Instead the dishes were all 'named' as the ingredients from the dish.


Medallion tenderloin beef with potato fondant, market fresh vegetables and green pepper corn sauce. the sauce was a little strong and the meat was tender. Love the way how the vegetables in the dish was cut, especially with the potato as a circle. From a birds eye view, the dish was beautifully decorated.


Salmon fillet with capers relish, lemon ginger cream sauce, boiled potatoes and garden fresh vegetables. The caper relish was a surprise good combo with the salmon. I would say it was a rather alright dish as compare to the other two.


Corn-fed chicken with spinach and ricotta with mushroom sauce, truffle mashed potato and garden fresh vegetables. Oh I saved the best for last. This chicken was amazing. It was soft, chewy and tender, not dry as I imagine at first glance. Everything from the dish just jive well together. The sauce was my favourite.


Dessert was walnut caramel crusted tart with sour cream and berries compote. I can't really take sweets and I actually was hesitant to eat this but at my first small bite, the pastry was baked well and it wasn't too overpowering. I love the entire combination, thought it would be weird with the sour cream but I guess that was what help to balance the sweet and the berries completed the dish with the fruity end.

And lastly we had coffee or tea with cookies and pralines. The pralines was the chocolate.


The chicken was a crowd favourite and this entire menu felt very festive. Do note to call in for reservations to avoid disappointments. Hope you all have a beautiful Christmas celebration!
