MyBurgerlab introduces Ultraman Burger (Salted Egg Yolk) And Bait & Switch
First we had salted egg yolk pao, then it was salted egg yolk crabs, soon it moved on to a the western cuisine with pasta, croissant, cake, waffles and now BURGER. MyBurgerlab joined in with the salted egg yolk craze and introduced their new Ultraman Burger (Salted Egg Yolk Burger) RM 18.

The moment I first laid eyes on the burger, all I could think of is how am I suppose to fit that into my mouth?! The Ultraman Burger was decked up with a thick and juicy fried chicken thigh. Oh thank goodness that it was thigh as most fried chicken for burger is usually serve chicken breast. The patty was covered in salted egg yolk crust, along with mozzarella cheese, curry leaves and curry mayo.

TBH, I don't know why but I was expecting salted egg yolk custard to flow out from my patty. When I think back about, I don't think it's actually possible to create it. haha. So do know that the salted egg yolk is around the patty and not in a custard form that will flow out. It surprisingly refreshing as it's something I never had on my burger before. Definitely you might get abit messy eating it, so beware if you are having it with your date.

I love how the balance of the mayo and salted egg yolk flavours was. Savoury and sweet along with the tender chicken patty made me wanted to order a second. TBH if you have the burger alone is filling enough as I couldn't finish my fries after devouring the Ultraman Burger. So if you are an average eater, just get the burger. But now I heard that there is an additional salted egg yolk fries dip, I havent got a chance to try it yet. If you are feeling adventurous and your tummy can take it, just go for it. Shall return to try the dip sauce soon.

There are only limited amount of Ultraman Burger in a day and have to be pre-order with MyBurgerlab to avoid disappointment. It's RM 18 for each Ultraman Burger and do know that this is only available for a limited time only.

When I was at Burgerlab, I thought of trying Bait & Switch (RM 16) as it was a new burger to me. When I thought the Ultraman Burger was big, Bait & Switch was bigger! It's also served with fried chicken THIGH, along with red onions, cilantro, spicy pepper relish and Kelantanese budu mayo.

THIS BURGER WAS SPICY. I kept coughing so much. It reminded me of Thai food, it had spicy and sweet combination on the first bite. Though I kept 'crying' or was it sweat under my eyes (I can't remember), I did have more than a bite as it was very alluring. It's something like one of those sweet, spicy savoury thai salads. Would order it again but when I do, I will be prep with my bottle of water at the side.

I had my burgers at the main outlet, Seapark myBurgerlab
Even took a picture of the menu for you all :)

Natural Beauty Products by Claire Organics, Da:Men USJ
Think handmade skin care items with essential oil remedies and almost immediately I'll think of Claire Organics. I think I first heard of them 2 years ago and ever since then been constantly seeing them at regular bazaars. At first look, I love their turquoises design packaging along with all of the benefits and natural goodness you get from using their products.

Been using their lip balm for almost a year now and am loving how icy it feels to help moisturize my lips. Was super ecstatic for Clarie Organics when they invited me to their first ever store at Da:Men USJ Mall.

Even got to meet Louise (Founder of Claire Organics) for a brief moment. So I heard that the brand name Claire was inspired by the founder's daughter's name, Norra Claire, which means clear & pure in French. Can you imagine if your name is ever chosen as an inspiration to a brand's name? Anyways, it's really a sweet inside to how Claire Organics got it's name, definitely a story I won't forget.

There are a variety of products in the store. From herbal balms, soap, essential oils, lip balm, hair/scalp/face/body oil products and even scrubs! Definitely there is something for everyone in the store.

Starting off with the Herbal Balm, it's available for different situation that you need a quick fix for. Plus I love that it's small and easy to bring around. You can tuck it into your make up pouch, pencil box or even your purse if you have a big coin compartment. There are 8 types of balms which are anti-wrinkle, happy feet, sunscreen, bug off, happy belly, happy bum, healing and luscious cocoa.

My friend, laura, been using their anti-wrinkle for ages and she swears that her face is so cleared of blemishes because of the balm. Because of her, I am actually thinking to try it. So far I am using healing balm for smoothing any insect bites or itchiness I experienced.

As for their lip balms, I'm currently using snowy cocoa. It's like putting ice on your lips with chocolate scent. I usually applied it once and it would last throughout the day.

Claire organics have other products too but I have yet to try them. Will be trying out the Clary Sage hair and scalp oil product soon as my scalp & hair needs a quick fix especially during our hot climate.

They even have loofah! Good for a good scrub on the body.

They are famous for their goat milk soap (good for sensitive skin) and bamboo soap (good for those with acne)

Their wide collection of Essential Oil

Their body scrubs, I can't wait to try out the lemongrass & ginger.

Cute soap pouch

They also do party favours for any events that you have or even personalize items to fit your needs. They also turn breastmilk into soaps for those who would like to give their family members or just keep it for memories sake. If you are thinking to get some of these products, now you don't have to wait for their next bazaar or order them online but now you can get it straight from their store at Da:Men USJ Mall.

Japanese A La Carte Buffet Heaven @ Mitasu, Bukit Bintang KL

Japanese A La Carte Buffet Heaven @ Mitasu, Bukit Bintang KL
Last weekend, I finally got my Sashimi cravings satisfied. Been hearing a lot of raves from this restaurant from my friends and finally got the time to check this place out. IT WAS AMAZING. Plus could you believe that I actually had 50 Sashimi slices?! Okay to be exact the 4 of us girls shared but still 50 Sashimi! Even writing this now makes me want to go back and maybe order 80 Sashimi pieces.

Apparently this place is always pack and to be safe, I called for reservation 2 weeks before hand. The moment we step into the store, I was happy to see that they reserved for us the best seats in the restaurant. There is 2 table for 4 that is placed next to the glass window. If you are planning to go there with friends or family, I highly recommend that spot. The only down side to sitting there is that everyone walking in will gawk at your first since it's the nearest to the entrance. Also the best part of sitting there is that when you look up, you can see the sky.

There are two sides to the menu and you can order anything you want from the waiters there. Cold drinks (honey lemon, lemon tea and green tea) are found at a corner and if you like hot green tea, the waiters will serve them to you. So since it was a la carte buffet, we just sat and ordered as if we had starved for days.

Sashimi sake (raw salmon), Tako Karaage (fried octopus), Wakame Udon, Salmon Kabuta (salmon head), grilled salmon and ice creams (Green Tea & Black Sesame) are a must order. While the rest of the other dishes are just alright. Hope this helps those that are planning to go soon.

I forgotten the exact price but with gst to the bill, it was only less than RM 70 per person. However the parking at the building Central Plaza will kill you. I think I paid close to RM16 on Saturday when we were there for lunch. Maybe you all could carpool or park somewhere around the other buildings or just come on Sundays since most places charge per entry instead of hourly.

Also to enter the restaurant, you have to go to the front of Central Plaza and walk down. You won't miss it if you are at the entrance of the building. But if you are coming from the carpark of Central Plaza, take the lift to G and walk out to the entrance. Be careful of the parking as the place is designed very narrow. Don't forget to call before going. Happy food hunting!
